Summerfield Babyblanket
When expecting her second child, my close friend asked me to do a baby blanket for her, or rather for the baby. Good she gave me a few months heads up. She wanted something colourful. After sending her some pictures of different types of squares, she had already made her mind up. She had seen one of the bags that I made for myself and wanted those colour flowers.

We talked some about the colours. Not knowing if they were expecting boy or girl, but knowing Annika, I went for strong, happy colours that also are contrasting colours. Waiting to the very last minute in making the edging, i.e the baby boy was born, I decided on...

...green and black scallop edging as to make it not too "boyish", but still not to dark with the black edgings.
The babyblanket is made up of 12x 8, 10 cm big flower squares. It took me some time finishing it, but looking at it, and seeing Berra deep- asleep under his new blanket it was all worth it.
and then his mother says... well it is so beautiful that I think we are going to use it in our bed later on when the baby doesn´t use it anymore...
